Two men have been charged following a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A young child was among those injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

This event – described by police as was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
