Relief Efforts Considered Not Enough

Agencies have stepped up distribution of shelter, bedding and clothes after the truce commenced, but they stress there is remains not enough aid entering.

"Agencies are striving constantly to bring in that relief and to distribute it, but the scale of the needs is so immense that we continue to see thousands of families and children who are genuinely enduring hardship each evening," stated one official.

Future Challenges and Truce Plans

The second phase of the ceasefire involves arrangements for the reconstruction of Gaza, along with political arrangements, the removal of military forces, and other terms.

Relief bodies have stressed the need for "greater and continuous aid to respond to immediate and long-term needs."

The conflict was triggered by an assault in the autumn of 2023. Subsequent campaigns have resulted in a significant number of fatalities in the area, according to medical reports.
