Combatants smirk as they ride on the rear of a pick-up truck, racing by a line of multiple corpses and heading facing the sinking Sudanese evening sky.

"Observe this extensive accomplishment. Observe this genocide," a combatant shouts.

The fighter smiles as he turns the camera on himself and his associate fighters, their Rapid Support Forces insignia clearly shown: "They shall all die in this manner."

The men are rejoicing over a massacre that humanitarian officials believe resulted in the deaths of over thousands of individuals in the Sudan's metropolis of the Darfur city last month.

A City Isolated from the Globe

Having held the community under blockade for almost two years, from August the militia moved to consolidate its position and restrict the leftover civilian population.

Satellite images show that fighters commenced to erect a enormous berm - a built-up earthen wall - around the edges of el-Fasher, blocking entry points and halting relief supplies.

During the encirclement intensified, seventy-eight people were slain in an RSF assault on a mosque on mid-September, while the UN said 53 more were slain in unmanned aircraft and heavy weapon bombardments on a refugee settlement in fall.

Explicit Video Depicts Weaponless Civilians Executed

By sunrise on late October the militia defeated the last army positions and seized the central headquarters in the urban area, the command center of the 6th Infantry Division, as the army withdrew.

One of the most graphic recordings to surface and analysed depicted the aftermath of a massacre at a campus structure on the west of the community, where scores lifeless forms were observed spread throughout the ground.

A senior individual dressed in a white tunic was seated alone surrounded by the victims. The man turned to glance as a militiaman carrying with a firearm walked down the stairs in the direction of the victim. lifting his firearm, the fighter released a single round at the man, who fell to the floor lifeless.

"Why is this person still alive," one combatant shouted. "Kill him."

Satellite images recorded on late October appeared to verify that executions were also performed on the thoroughfares of el-Fasher, based on a report released by the university analysis team.

A key witness who communicated stated they had seen "numerous of our kin getting executed - these individuals were collected in a single location and everyone killed."

Militia Leaders Attempt to Carry Out Public Relations

In the days that followed the massacre, militia leader admitted that his fighters had committed "atrocities" and said the incidents would be examined.

Among those detained was after a investigation detailing his killings. Deliberately staged and modified recording posted on the paramilitary's official social media account reveal the individual being led into a prison room at a jail on the outskirts of the city.

Simultaneously, the militia and affiliated digital profiles commenced attempting to reframe the account.

Updates presenting its militiamen distributing assistance to inhabitants were disseminated by some individuals, while the paramilitary's communications team released numerous clips purporting to show the proper management of military prisoners of war.

Despite the social media initiative being employed by the RSF, their conduct in the city have provoked worldwide condemnation.
