Approximately 90 Flights Connected to Epstein Allegedly Arrived at or Departed from British Airfields
An investigation has found that close to 90 aircraft journeys linked to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly touched down at and left UK airports, with some reportedly carrying British women who assert they were victimized by the found guilty child sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Pattern of Movement
The travel manifests were among a trove of legal papers and files released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been made public over the previous twelve months. The investigation identified 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein – featuring many that were previously unknown – arriving or departing from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Travel
Unnamed female passengers were recorded among the passengers flying to and from the UK. Notably, 15 of these UK flights occurred after Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for soliciting sex from a underage person.
“This is ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘comprehensive British inquiry’ into his activities in the country,” stated US lawyers acting for numerous Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Legal Proceedings
A statement from one of the British victims helped convict Epstein’s associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. But, that victim has never been contacted by police in the UK, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police stated they had “not received any additional information that would support reopening the inquiry.” They noted, “If new and relevant evidence be presented to us, including any resulting from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will review it.”
Ongoing Document Release and Judicial Decisions
A bill to disclose every document held by the American government in concerning Epstein was approved by the House and Senate last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. A vast number of documents are anticipated to be released.
In a related development, a US judge ruled last week that the DOJ could make public evidence from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the charges.
