American-Palestinian Teenager Freed After 270 Days in Israeli Detention

A American-Palestinian teenager after completing nine months in Israel's custody without charge gained freedom.

Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 when he was arrested in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, during a family visit from his Florida home accused of stone-throwing at Jewish settlers, claims he consistently denied.

United States authorities expressed satisfaction with Mohammed's liberation.

Currently aged sixteen, was taken to hospital for treatment immediately after release, according to close relatives.

They said he is pale, underweight, while battling health issues developed during imprisonment.

Via family representatives, family spokesperson expressed the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".

Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" over the last nine months.

"Right now, we're concentrating on ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare he requires after experiencing mistreatment by authorities and cruel circumstances for months."

American authorities announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.

{"American leadership considers paramount than the safety and security for United States citizens"," the department emphasized.

Several congressional representatives submitted a formal letter to diplomatic officials and President Donald Trump, requesting additional efforts for his freedom.

Mr Ibrahim, a father-of-four who runs an ice cream business from Florida, previously claimed his child admitted guilt about rock throwing because the soldiers beat him.

The father hadn't visited or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, and only heard regarding the treatment through judicial records.

The teenager remained lacking indictment at Ofer detention facility in the West Bank.

The facility also contains mature inmates, some of whom have been convicted regarding severe security violations and homicide.

An estimated 350 Palestinian minors in security custody detained within Israeli facilities, per correctional service statistics.

Many have never been charged while advocacy organizations, as well as the United Nations, say some have suffered physical abuse and torture.

Following Mohammed's release, the uncle stated relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative family member Sayfollah.

The 20-year-old dual US citizen who the Palestinian health ministry said was beaten to death by radical settlers following tensions in July.

During that period, the Israeli military said they were examining reports a Palestinian civilian was deceased.

Mohammed and Sayfollah collaborated at their family's ice cream business based in Florida.

No charges have been filed regarding Sayfollah's death.

"We expect the American government to ensure our family's safety," the uncle stated.
